Starting her career as a veterinary technician, Angelia transitioned to become the Shelter Manager at Shenango Valley Animal Shelter, where she spent over seven years overseeing the care and placement of more than 2,500 animals. Venturing beyond SVAS, she established ACAR to provide animal care without the constraints of municipal border restrictions, and formed a Board composed of proven animal welfare professionals.
Angelia is supported by a network of friends, family, and colleagues, that will serve as the foundation for ACAR's successes.
In addition to her nonprofit work, Angelia finds fulfillment in her loving husband, two beautiful sons—Stephen and Vincent—and their two rescue dogs, Jeffie and Noelle.
Raised on a dairy farm, Jennifer embodies the values of hard work and unwavering commitment to animals. With a career in veterinary medicine, she's held roles as a certified technician, practice manager, consultant, and now co-owns a local veterinary practice with her husband.

Among her many endeavors, Rebecca holds a special affinity for cats, particularly the often-neglected 'feral' felines. Her current focus lies in establishing an effective trap-spay/neuter-release (TNR) program, aiming to reduce the stray cat population and benefit the broader community.
For the past seven years, Steve has embraced his wife's dedication to animal welfare by volunteering in numerous roles, including animal control, maintenance, and fundraising.
At ACAR, Steve's contributions are underpinned by his extensive financial acumen. Steve brings a wealth of expertise to the table; boasting over 15 years of experience in private business operations and a robust background in governmental audit, accounting, and cash management. Additionally, Steve maintains multiple professional certifications through accredited continuing education organizations.
He is a proud husband and father to his two sons Stephen and Vincent. Steve loves his rescue dogs and will always cherish the memory of his field springer spaniel Heidi.

As the lead feline foster, her wealth of experience and insight serves as an invaluable resource for fellow fosters, making her an exceptional asset to our animal welfare community.
In what free time the cats and work allows; Sue enjoys photography and you can often meet her at the racetrack.
Madeline has always maintained a deep and enduring love of animals. For the better part of a decade, she contributed to her local animal shelter; assisting in fundraising, marketing, adoptions, and hands-on care.
Animal welfare is a family affair for Madeline. While working at the shelter she has met and permanently accepted into her home: 3 dogs, 9 cats, and 1 husband. She has also fostered countless dogs and cats when extra care and attention was needed.

For the past decade, Ireland has dedicated herself to volunteering with multiple SPCAs and animal rescues across North Carolina, California, and Pennsylvania. Alongside her role as an assistant branch manager, she finds fulfillment in giving back to the community through animal welfare.
Outside of work, Ireland cherishes her leisure time exploring new destinations and reconnecting with family, often accompanied by her beloved rescue dog of three years, Lilly.
